Wren AI Commercial Overview
Wren AI is one trusted layer between your team and your data: anyone asks a question in plain language, and Agentic GenBI returns a governed, auditable answer — the number, the SQL behind it, and a chart — in seconds. Everyone from the C-suite to data engineers gets the same trusted answer.
This page helps you confirm which Wren AI edition you are using and choose the right starting point in the docs.
One governed layer for the whole stack
Connect your existing databases, warehouses, and models once. Wren AI's governed context layer serves trusted answers to every downstream tool.
Two ways to work: Agentic and Classic projects
Every commercial workspace organizes work into projects, and each project comes in one of two types:
- Agentic project (recommended) — The agent plans multi-step analyses on its own, learns from your team's Knowledge, runs reusable Skills, remembers your preferences with Memories, and builds interactive GenBI Apps. Start here for the full Agentic GenBI experience.
- Classic project — A guided question-and-answer workflow with dashboards, spreadsheets, and a curated knowledge base of Instructions and Question-SQL Pairs. Choose this if your team prefers a traditional BI workflow.
You can mix both project types in one organization. See Create and Manage a Project for how to choose at creation time.
