By integrating Airtable data into your projects, you can unify your data, create custom structures, collaborate seamlessly with your team, and leverage rich integrations to gain deeper insights.

warning

If your Airtable tables have titles in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean, you might experience difficulties when creating models. Please rename these tables to English titles to resolve this issue

Prerequisites

  • An active Airtable account on any Airtable Plan
  • Create an Airtable Personal Access Token (PAT). You can find detailed instructions on how to do this in the Airtable documentation.
    • Make sure to grant the following scopes:

security best practice

We recommend creating separate Airtable PAT tokens for each project to enhance security practices.

Steps to set up an Airtable Data Source

note

Currently, the HubSpot boilerplate is required to integrate Airtable data sources into your project.

Go to your project settings by clicking the Settings button on the lower left.

Wren Setting page

The 'Data Connection' option in your project settings allows you to manage all data sources used in the project. Click the button ‘Connect a data source’ to open the Connect a Data Source menu.

Once you select Airtable, please enter the source's display name and your Airtable PAT. Remember to set up a meaningful display name that contains information about what is connected from Airtable. This display name will be used in the data modeling.

To start modeling your Airtable data, go to the "Modeling" page. Click the "+" button next to "Models" to create a new data model. Select the Airtable table you want to use and choose the specific columns you need. Click the ">" button next to each column you want to include, then click "Create" to finalize your model.

Add a description to each column in your Airtable table for better results. This helps Wren AI understand the data type in the field, leading to more accurate and relevant analysis.
