Connect Data Sources Overview

In Wren AI Cloud we support two different types of data connection

1. Self-hosted Data (Includes in all plans)

“Self-hosted data” means that you can connect Wren AI Cloud directly to your existing data sources. Wren AI will send queries to your database to retrieve real-time data without synchronizing the data to Wren AI Cloud. This means that you host all the data.

Connection settings may vary across each data source. For connection details, click on the link of supported data sources below:

• BigQuery
• PostgreSQL
• MySQL
• Microsoft SQL Server
• ClickHouse

2. Imported Data (Only in essential plan and above)

When we "imported data," it means that we will sync your data to the Wren AI Cloud and update it regularly. This is especially helpful when connecting with Software-as-a-Service platforms like HubSpot, Airtable, etc. These platforms often have API call limitations or query performance issues when querying data in real-time. With Wren AI Cloud, we can help you synchronize your data and optimize data retrieval without any query limitations and better query performance.

Choose your data source type

To add a data source connection, click on a data source option in Connect a data source section:

Update connection

To update your data source's connection properties, navigate to Settings > Data source.
